Meet Yana Ong: The Young Woman Behind Why Not Yans Beauty Products

By Boy Romero

In a world full of beauty brands popping up literally everywhere, one name quietly stands out. Why Not Yans Beauty Products.

Behind it is a young and driven businesswoman from Iloilo, Ms. Yana Ong. She’s proof that beauty and business can go hand in hand.

During the soft opening of Why Not Yans Beauty Products at the Clubhouse of Don Enrique Heights two weeks ago, guests were quick to notice something. The products actually work. The team tested the brand’s whitening line right on their skin. Within minutes, they saw instant results. Fast and surprisingly effective. No doubt about it. People can confidently say that this brand delivers what it promises.

Yana’s story started far from the city lights. Born and raised in Iloilo, she was already selling candies in school while other kids carried notebooks. She knew early on that business was her thing.

By 2016, at just 18 years old, she began her first venture with only ₱60,000 capital. She imported clothes from Bangladesh and sold them in local markets. No store under her name, no staff to rely on. Just her, her bag of goods, and just determination to make it work.

While studying Accountancy, she also worked and quickly got promoted to supervisor and project engineer. Her marketing skills shone through, but the success drew envy from others. Eventually, she decided to leave her job and start something new.

That decision led to Why Not Yans Beauty Products. But it’s not just about skincare. Her growing line now includes pet supplies and other items.

Big names are already backing her up. Singer Malu Barry and two beauty queens are among her current endorsers. And Yana already has her eyes on a dream ambassador. “If the brand grows bigger, I’d love to get Heart Evangelista,” she shared. “She really promotes what she uses.”

When asked about her secret to success, Yana kept it simple. “Hard work, strategy, and faith in God.” Then she smiled and added a line that sums up everything she stands for. “Beauty is not just about the products. It’s about confidence, self-love, and empowerment to stay beautiful inside and out.”

She admits there’s still a long way to go, but she’s taking it one step at a time.
