Arnold Reyes Will Leave You Speechless with His Explosive Performance in Akusada
By Boy Romero
There’s no doubt that Arnold Reyes is one of the best character actors of his generation. Big or small role, it doesn’t matter. He always gives justice to every character he plays. His talent in acting doesn’t depend on angle, time, or circumstance. He stands out in every way.
This isn’t surprising to many, since Reyes came from theater.
In his latest GMA7 project Akusada, which aired on Afternoon Prime, the actor once again received waves of praise.
At the start of the series, which stars Andrea Torres and Benjamin Alves, his role seemed simple — he plays Dennis, the friend of Benjamin’s character, Winfred.
But even with a minor role, he gave it depth and life. Then came a shocking twist: he was actually the real killer of Joy, played by Max Collins, who was Winfred’s wife. That’s when Reyes unleashed his dragon-like acting power. The build-up of his character was intense. You’ll honestly curse at how brilliant he is, his performance is absolutely wild.
His acting is calm yet controlled. From his eyes, body movements, to his dialogue delivery. Everything was just sharp, clean, and smooth. He never overacts. Often, and without trying, he overshadows his co-actors in scenes.
Now that Akusada is in its finale week (ending on Friday, October 31, 2025). Reyes’s skill continues to rise above the rest. The emotion is raw and powerful. Every scene is impressive and unforgettable. Truly remarkable.
At the recent 37th Star Awards for TV, Arnold already won Best Drama Supporting Actor for his performance in My Guardian Alien. And now, many believe he’ll take home the same award again for Akusada.
The truth is, Arnold Reyes’s talent and ability never lie.
