"Where in Manila?" Rhian Ramos is about to show you

Rhian Ramos, actress and model, is stepping into a new role as host of "Where in Manila." The travel-lifestyle show kicks off March 8, Saturday, at 11:30 p.m. on GMA 7. Produced by TV8 Media and led by Vanessa Verzosa, the show skips the overdone touristy stuff and goes straight to the good parts, but actually about foodies in Manila you didn’t know existed here and places that actually tell a story.

People see Rhian as sosyal, but she’s got a different side too. She’s just as happy eating street food as she is sitting in some fancy restaurant. Betamax, ihaw-ihaw, fishballs, she’s into all of it. Not exactly what you’d expect, right? And if it’s something exotic? She’ll give it a shot.

A big part of the show is about finding food you’d think only exists abroad but has a local twist. Ever heard someone say, “Kailangan ko pang lumipad para matikman ‘to”? Rhian’s here to change that. Manila’s food scene is deeper than people realize, and this show is here to bring those hidden flavors to light.

But Manila isn’t just about food. “Where in Manila” isn’t about the usual tourist checklist. It’s about the spots you walk past every day, the stories nobody talks about, and the little things that make the city what it is. One episode might take you through a quiet, old-school carinderia that’s been serving the same dish for decades, while another might feature a pop-up market selling streetwear from homegrown brands. It’s all about seeing Manila from a fresh perspective.

This show challenges how you see Manila. Manila’s the kind of place where you blink, and something’s changed. One day it’s an old shop, the next it’s a café. You just have to know where to look. And if you’ve ever thought Rhian Ramos was all glitz and glam, wait until you see her happily munching on street barbecue by the sidewalk.
